ABOUT JURIS & JUSTICE
A pan-African non-profit legal foundation dedicated to defending indigent citizens, refugees, women, and marginalized communities through systemic pro bono legal representation.
OUR MISSION & VISION
Our Mission
To eliminate financial and systemic barriers to justice across Africa by mobilizing pro bono legal networks, deploying emergency legal aid clinics, and delivering free representation to vulnerable populations.
Our Vision
An Africa where justice is not a luxury for the wealthy, but a universal, enforceable human right for every woman, child, refugee, and indigent community.
CORE OPERATING VALUES
Zero-Fee Principle
We never charge indigent clients. All intake, advisory, document drafting, and litigation are 100% free.
Human Dignity & Compassion
We treat survivors of conflict and violence with utmost confidentiality, trauma-informed care, and respect.
Systemic Pan-African Solidarity
We build coalitions between national bar associations, civil society, and local paralegal collectives.
OUR PAN-AFRICAN MODEL
1. Grassroots Intake
Clients and CSOs submit cases via our 24/7 online portal, hotlines, or mobile emergency clinics.
2. Triage & Assessment
Our in-house legal specialists verify eligibility and prepare comprehensive court-ready briefs.
3. Pro Bono Assignment
Cases are matched with vetted partner law firms or designated staff attorneys for full trial representation.
4. Impact & Monitoring
We track court milestones, enforce protective orders, and report transparently to global grant funders.
OUR TEAM & NETWORK
Juris & Justice operates through a decentralized network of legal professionals and community paralegals deployed across Africa.
Our leadership team oversees operations across 3 pillars, 18 programs, and 25+ cities — working through partner law firms and trained community paralegals.
We are growing our team through a structured, paid training program for community paralegals. Each paralegal receives 200+ hours of training in legal fundamentals, client advocacy, and case management — and is deployed to serve their own communities.
This is not a small team. It is a growing movement.
